Mr. Redling is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Nutrisystem, Inc., the industry leader in healthy weight management solutions and the largest home delivery weight management company in the United States. Mr. Redling joined Nutrisystem in September, 2007 as President and Chief Operating Officer and has held his current role since May 2008. Under Mr. Redling’s leadership the company has continued its tradition of innovations with its recent launch of Nutrisystem D, the first weight loss solution clinically tested and formulated for people with type 2 diabetes. Nutrisystem was the first company in the industry to include Omega 3s in its offering to deliver heart healthy alternatives and to meet or exceed the nutritional guidelines of the USDA, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. Nutrisystem has also recently been recognized as a category-leading eCommerce company.
Mr. Redling spent the previous 8 years in senior management positions at AOL, most recently serving as Chairman and CEO of AOL International and President of AOL Paid Services and Customer Management, where he was responsible for the Company’s global operations and directly managing the multi-billion dollar subscription business in North America. Previously, Mr. Redling held the positions of Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing where he managed the Company’s extensive marketing efforts overseeing the Company’s diverse family of brands, acquisition and retention marketing, advertising and product strategies and call center management. During his tenure at AOL, Mr. Redling played an integral role in establishing one of the largest subscription businesses in the world with world-wide membership reaching 34 million, led the transition from dial-up access business to broadband and led the Company’s efforts in its transition to a free web-based advertising model.
Prior to joining AOL, Mr. Redling spent 18 years in management positions in the Entertainment and Leisure industries.
As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for Arnold Palmer Golf Management in Orlando, FL from 1996 to 1999, he led an entrepreneurial venture to develop the first nationally branded chain of golf courses. Over the course of two and a half years, the business expanded to include 40 locations across the U.S.
From 1991 to 1996, as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment of Time Warner’s Six Flags theme park division, he was responsible for national and local marketing and managing all in-park entertainment including multi-million dollar show productions, special events and live concert venues. During this period Six Flags Theme Parks became a nationally recognized entertainment brand combining innovative Time Warner branded attractions with effective national and local marketing that delivered new records in attendance and revenues over that period.
Mr. Redling’s past affiliations include Chairman of the National Council of Travel Attractions, committee member of the Whitehouse Conference on Tourism and founding board member of The Marketing 50 of North America.
Mr. Redling received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Saint Peter’s College.
